My experience with long distance relationship (LDR)

Long Distance Relationship is not something nice to hear, nor experience. I have been in this long distance relationship for nearly 4 years. And yes, there were ups and downs in our relationship. I am living in Malaysia and my boyfriend (now fiance) is in Northern Cyprus, Turkey. We met first time in Istanbul Airport in June 2013 for merely 4 hours, and our relationship grew stronger ever since. Finally he came to Malaysia in August 2014 to meet my family and proposed me.

We planned to get married in January or February 2015, because if not, we will have to arrange the date during next summer break, which is in July  2015. Since his visit to Malaysia. wedding preparation has been made and hold to standby mode, because he could not confirm the exact date to come to Malaysia....and only 3 weeks before the planned date, he confirmed that the wedding has to be postponed to July 2015. I was very sad, but this is the price of having long distance relationship.

I have read may long distance stories and watched their videos. They have their ups and downs too. Some of the couples get to live to together ever after, and some of them not. I really hope my story will ends well.

This is my first post about my long distance relationship story. On the next post, I will write more stories about us and share our experience.

In long distance relationship, both sides must be patient and understanding. However, this two are not easily achieved, just because there is no physical appearance existed. However, everything is paid when finally, two birds fly together.
